Revit Local file contains the wrong path

I am using Revit 2015 and the project resides on Revit Server 2015. I went to create a new local file and am getting a message stating the location for the local is an incorrect path and it will not open? Any ideas what is going on?

For some reason, revit doesn't like long file names. Shorten the name of your revit file and it should solve the issue. *no idea why this happens*

That actually sounds like a folder size issue. There may be too much data in the folder and Revit can't create the new local there. I've run into situations in the past where a fairly low maximum size has been imposed on folders on the C:\ drive. Check that too...

Have everyone close out and the last one that sync'd should create a new central file.
Make sure everyone is on the same build as well.
