    Export to IFC

    Hello all,

I have recently been experimenting with exporting to IFC from Revit and was wondering if anyone here has successfully exported their MEP data from Revit to IFC properties? I know about the IfcExportAs and IfcExportType, but what about the rest of the data? What about values like mechanical air flow, electrical requirements, equipment weight, etc.?

Is there a write-up somewhere online that outlines how to export my firm's shared parameters to IFC properties?

    Thanks in advance!

Send me a link to the RFA and I'll give it a shot.

I don't have the rfa. file on the website. I was thinking of emailing the file to you?

            Can you attach it here?

              WeTransfer?

First thing I would suggest is install the improved IFC exporter from the autodesk apps site.

Then you have the option to either export all revit parameters (Too much info but requires no extra work) or to set up a custom parameter list with the parameters you want to include in the IFC.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have the IFC for Revit add-in.

The main thing I am trying to accomplish is exporting my Revit shared parameter data to IFC properties. Would anyone care to share their mapping table? I want to see how others are mapping their data when exporting to IFC.
