Hi Folks,
I'm currently working on a project where it is required to bring a stp file into revit (for presentation purposes). My process was to bring the stp into autocad, then save as a dwg. I then opened a new family in Revit and imported the dwg file, but as you will see in the attached it has become distorted. I'd prefer if it was brought into family editor as I can then add a few extrusions here and there to create pipe connectors.
The model looks perfect in Autocad, its only when I bring it into Revit. Iv had a colleague check it in solid works but it also looks perfect there, although there are a few rebuild errors.
Overall we have 4 files where we need to do this, 2 of which have come in perfect, the other two have distorted.
Has anyone any ideas as to why this is happening? Is it the rebuild errors? Are there any other actions I can use to get these into Revit?
Thanks for taking the time to read.
