build them into your template

and technically yes, you can do most of what you want with Dynamo but building it into your template will be more efficient long-term.

Actually I find its less useful to have Views in the template (Because they are dependent on levels, scope boxes etc that can be different for every project) and better to have really good View Templates that can produce all the views you want with a minimum of manual work.
Using dynamo you can;

Copy levels from linked models with the same names, or name by height order etc.
Create a view per level for a list of View Templates, applying the templates as they are created
Create dependent views for every scope box in the project
Name and number every view based on their template/level
Create sheets using the view names and numbers and place the views on them
Sort/group everything in the project browser based on parameters in the templates
Fill in sheet information for the title block using the attributes of the view (Type, level, scope box, discipline, etc)
Place the relevant legends or text notes on the sheets
Possibly even tag stuff on the views (But placement of the tags is difficult).

Ive managed to get most of these steps working individually, so it should be entirely possible to develop a process that generates all your template views in one go when setting up a new project.

I would actually LOVE to be able to do all of that in Dynamo. I would strip a lot of things out of my template, if i knew how to do all of that!

I hear ya! I had a few slow days a month ago and got my feet wet in Dynamo but have been slammed ever since. Where does the day go??

Hehe yes, the idea is that automation will free up extra time. In practice you just spend all that time making dynamo work and end up with more work than you started with :P

But that's at least more fun than doing something repetitive!
