Revit cant reconcile differences error - persistent

I seem to get this message more often than i should. Not only does it interfere with the workflow, it wastes time etc... I don't know why I am one of the only people in the office who gets this message, but I'm hoping it's solvable and/or avoidable.

What reason would I be getting this message and what can be done to avoid it? Currently, I am one of two people working on this project, and I sync frequently. I was hoping it would be solved in Revit 2018, but alas, it keeps coming. (see attachment)

    Thoughts?

Any chance you and the other person have different Mapped Drive letters, to a server share where the project is?

Or was one of you working over wifi?

We are hardwired and not working off Wifi. I think what you are referring to is a separate error ("file contains an incorrect path") which I have gotten in the past, and it doesn't interfere with the ability to sync with the central model when you try to sync after the message appears. I could be wrong though.

No, im thinking of the message about irreconcilable differences.

Do you use Mapped Drive letters for your projects path?
