did you do a search of the forum before you posted this oft asked question? I just got 363 post hits when doing a search of RFO for "project from metric to imperial".
Try it, you'll like the results

Sorry I was not clear in my question,
I know to change my units by accessing project units dialogue box
But even though i changed my units, all my library in property palate named in metric (like Generic 300 mm wall) i want it be in imperial (like Generic 12" wall)
I changed my default path for family template files to English_I (imperial), and even all templates (like construction, structural) to US Imperial and respected imperial templates

All those settings for your families; type names, sizes etc. follows the initial template.
So you have 3 options: 1) start over from a imperial template 2) change all those type names and sizes manually 3) accept that the metric system is better in every way and start to use that instead
Either option is a hassle for you, I know, but that is sadly the situation.
