    Excavation in Revit

    Hello,

In main projects, I usually differentiate regions of earth. Earth needs to be excavated and some types of foundation require earth filling. It is usual to illustrate the excavation in within sections, 1:50 scale...In Revit, what is best for creating regions refilled with earth? What family? To refroze the question, how can I differentiate regions filled with earth from earth that is not going to be excavated? Further on, I need a definition of areas filled with gravel. What is the best way to create those?

    Thanks in advance

This question requires a basic knowledge of Revit. It is recommended to take some training course.
You will need to use Filled Region (2D) or In-Place family (3D).

Ok, I ll try with the In-Place family cause I saw that it can show the volume.

      Thank you.

I did mine with family (not in-place) with nested detail family, showing section as in your example.
