    Continuous stair stringers

    Hi All,

I constantly finding bespoke stair creation on revit quite complex and challenging.
I want to have a stair with nice continuous side steel stringers (as on white images)
Unfortunately I don't have an idea how to deal with internal corners.

If any of you have already cracked similar problem, I would appreciate if you could direct me to the solution.

    Cheers,
    B

the stair tool is, at best and in my opinion, an SD/DD level tool - you can make it work well into CDs but the more complex the stair, the more challenges you'll have

you might consider using the stair tool for the treads/risers and modeling the stringer separately

      Thank you for your response.
Do you think is it possible at all to achieve this detail in revit using only stair modeling tools?

If model stringers separately, what would you suggest to use? mass in place, generic model family?

      Thanks!!

Id use floors, walls or gm so they join nicely.

I agree the stair tool is pretty poor.
I personally use insitu component (model in place) extrusion by path (sweep) for the stairs and if I had to do the stringers I would just use framing profiles and model them as beams but you could also do a sweep for these if you really wanted to instead.

Thank you for all the ideas, I implemented some of them and soon will post the final result =)
