How do I create a new family of counters (straight, u-shaped, etc) with parameters in Revit LT? I don't know how to get to the Family Editor without first establishing a family inside, say Furniture, then adding it to my project, THEN editing it to add the parameters. By then, I am out of the extrusion and cannot attach my parameters to the sketch. I'm new and am sure I am missing something. Any advice so appreciated. Thank you.

No.
We are talking about a Kitchen Bench here
They come on all different shapes & sizes
Waterfall edge here & there
We only need a "Mass" Type of Bench, so we use Floors. Easy to Edit etc.
More Detailed Kitchens - Then Yes a Specific Family would be best
We use a Generic Model Counter top - That was we can add 2 of them together & they heal using Join GeometeryDwane

I wouldn't use a Floor for most counters because it's harder to ensure consistency in depth but splashes, aprons, and waterfalls could all be done with Slab Edges. Could be a one stop shop in terms of the toolset (win for me).
