    Old Habbits

    Does anyone out there still slap the space bar with your thumb in Revit or is it just me?

    wrong button again!...Lack of coffee.

    Nope ... never slap the tab key with my thumb. Space bar, however, yeah, I do that often ... especially when I'm working back and forth between ACAD & Revit.

      When I first saw the thread title I read it as "Old Hobbits", haha! No thumb on Tab key for me either. I suspect you meant the space bar? I use the thumb on that all the time. It's a hard and fast habit of learning to touch type.

        Which, looking at my keyboard layout compared to the configuration of my hands, fits.

          Just as bad is going to Autocad and typing in the shortcut and waiting for something to happen.....oh! Have to hit enter/spacebar!

              There's another "old habit" in AutoCad that is actually useful in Revit. I use this all the time.
              Hit Enter ==> Repeat the last command

                Deep down in every Revit user there is a (dissatisfied) Autocad part..
