    Naming Conventions

    Hello,

    I am trying to make an international BIM manual, but can't seem to find the standard way of naming BIM files and objects.

    I found the british standard BS1196 too complicated. Does anybody know where I can find some standard naming conventions?

    Now let's slow things down a second... you are writing "an international BIM manual" - but might I ask for whom? Do you mean "a BIM manual for my company that has an international presence" ?


    I found the british standard BS1196 too complicated.
    forgive me, but that's not the best of starts... but then applying Audio coding for digital broadcasting - ITU to the AEC industry would pose most people a challenge. You might want to try BS1192.


    Does anybody know where I can find some standard naming conventions?
    Standard? For whom? Naming conventions? Of what?


    Seriously, we like to help, but you're going to need to do a lot more footwork for us.
