    Create struture beam with varying width on plan

    Hi ,

    May I know what is quickest way of creating structure beam with varying width on plan?

      The depth is the same. only the width flared at the one end.

        If it is an unusual case, I would simply model the extrusion "in-situ" using the "component" --> "model in place" tool.
        Set it Under category foundation (or framing if its not a ground beam).

        Then you just draw the flared profile in plan view, set the depth of the element, and you are done.
        Don't forget to set the material to the correct type (same as the slab)
