*IF* we go, we are flying straight to Toronto. There isnt any upside to driving from Buffalo. Its about a 2 hour drive, but what do you gain? Customs is customs, and frankly... Its harder to fly to Buffalo than it is to Toronto, from most places. Itll be an extra hop.

Ditto...unless you're making a trip of it to see Niagra Falls from the USA side in the days leading up to the event. The Canadian side is arguably better but I think the Lady of the Mist boat option is only on the US side?

There is an airport in town and one outside of town (the main one). You might see if it's reasonable to fly into the city airport, quite close to the hotel IRCC.

It's only an hour and a half flight for me, so no advantage to driving an extra 2 hours on top of that. I ended up on Porter which flies smaller turbo-prop planes, but they do fly into the city airport and they were also cheaper than any of the major airlines. I have no idea what to expect from them as far as service so it may be an adventure.

Half of the flights I find involve 6+ hour layovers... at that point I might as well drive :banghead:

Yeah, it's definitely an advantage to live so close to 2 major hub airports. I can't even remember the last time I had a layover somewhere. Can you get to any of their other cities like Pittsburgh or DC?

Its funny that i wrote that, and then plans changed (sort of). While nothing is certain yet, *IF* we attend it looks like we will fly directly to Toronto, then drive back to Buffalo, then on to Rochester, then on to Syracuse, then fly home from Syracuse, LOL. But, thats all cuz of family stuff. Still would fly direct, given the chance.
