    Re-Scaling Concrete Hatch Pattern

I'm trying to fix an overly dense concrete hatch pattern.

Went to VG, under Floors, under Patterns, I clicked Concrete. Edit. Scale is greyed out.

So I created NEW. Selected Custom. Prompted to give a New Pattern Name.

Imported the Revit.pat file, which is an AutoCAD Hatch Pattern Definition type of file.

    Selected the Concrete hatch pattern.

    (File Units are inches).

I tweaked the Import Scale from 1.00 (default) to 2.00.

OK. OK. OK. Now there is no hatch shown on my drop panels. Grrr...

Anyone out there know how to lower the hatch density on my concrete?

My PDF print went from 2 MB to 125 MB with the dense concrete hatch pattern showing.

    Thanks!

You might need to create your own pattern file.

Hmmm you just triggered a thought. The hatch pattern I want used to be available in R14. Maybe I can use that versions hatch pattern file. I'll check that out. Thanks for posting.

The HatchKit Add-in for Revit can create rescaled and/or rotated fills from fills already loaded to a project without reference to any external .PAT file.

I should have responded earlier...I went in to the link's VG and set the floor/structural foundation category to concrete hatching.

Prior to that, I set the link's model visibility to "by host" so that I only play with my model's VG instead of guessing which linked model settings I touched.

This seems to set the correct hatch scaling.
