R2018 Import Keyboard Shortcuts

    R2018 Import Keyboard Shortcuts

    I cannot import my keyboard shortcuts.xml file to R2018. Totally locks it up and I have to kill it with Task Manager. Anyone else try this yet? All other dialogs seem to be working OK and I can add shortcuts manually.
    I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

    Dave, can you just copy your previous XML to the 2018 location and skip the "import"?

      sure, but I'd like to know if this is only an issue with me or if others have the same problem

          Gotcha. I'll try an import this weekend when I test my upgrade workflow and let you know how it goes.

            interesting thing is that when looking at the location for the keyboard shortcuts.xml file there wasn't one in the R2018 folder which I thought to be odd. So I thought that maybe me adding my file manually might solve the issue but alas any attempt at an import through the keyboard shortcuts dialog still locks me up. I have a nightmare coming on about being down the road 4 months and forgetting about this and making the mistake of trying to do an import after not saving or STC for an hour...ugh

              There is no XML by default, as the "default" shortcuts are hardwired somewhere. The XML only gets created when you customize your shortcuts.

                    I'm going to uninstall and reinstall. I've gotten two "unexpected errors" in the last hour which has shut R2018 down without any other warning. Somethings wrong in Revit Land
