get exterior deck stair to end past the post?

How do I get the top 2x on a typical exterior stair rail to extend slightly past the post?

See attached pdf for illustration and revit 2017 file with stair and railing.

    Thanks,

Try adjusting the "space" dimensions of the start and end balusters. You could also make the rail extension a part of the post family, but that seems overly complicated for a 2X top rail.

Thanks for the reply. Adjusting the space solved the to hand rail being too short but created a problem with the bottom rail being so long that it protruded through the post.
What ended up working was outlined here https://www.revitcity.com/forums.php...hread_id=36532
It involves deleting the top rail from the railing type and using a hand rail instead. Then editing that top rail path.

        I like the handrail solution!

Use a Top Rail, TAB select Top rail, then in type properties set default offset. (see image)

Mark, this is a perfect fix for the horizontal rail, but the OP was asking for the solution for the stair rail (sloped) as per her/his picture in post #1.
