Time required for Files to open

    Hi all,

Does anyone know if the local cache for C4R files has an "expiry" on them?
I have just tried open one of our project files and it has taken over 30mins to open. The odd thing is, i was in this file less than a week ago, and it opened really quickly, with no issues at all.
Any ideas why the time would blow out in such a short period of time?

Was a great deal of work done by others in the interim?

      Drew,
There is no expiry date. Sounds like this user was well behind "fresh" on both the host and links, so Revit had a lot to do here. It would be interesting to look into the analytics behind this operation. Did you happen to have a journal file for the Revit session that experienced this long Model Open?

I would verify whether that user is on wireless, unless the workstation 10,000's kms away.

A journal capturing the 30 minute model open will capture timestamps for the different operations, which should tell us if bandwidth was the contributing factor.
