    Pull the shared parameters out of this project

    Hello,

    It there some way to get extract a shared parameters list from a existing project. Or particularly a old schedule.

    We got a sweat room schedule :bb: and I wanted to make a room tags that works with it this schedule Shared parameters but I have no idea how to link the two. But I figured if I can pull the shared parameters out of this project I can then link the tags parameters with the parameters of this schedule… but I am not very sure.

    Ok update! It is a project parameter that I want to tag

    Is there a way to get your tags to operate off the project parameters?

    Or is there a way to switch a project parameter to a shared parameter?

      They´ll need to be shared parameters in order to tag them... Maybe you could use the "Shared Parameters Converter Extension" ?

          That is for converting parameters from a Family to a shared parameter… it does not seem that it wanted to pull my project parameters out of the job file to convert them to shared parameters.

          Good tool though:thumbsup: I have never really played with that tool. But it still does not work for my issues I don’t think. But I could be wrong.

            Sorry, I don't think it can be done...
            But you're right: it is a pretty sweet tool!

              This part of Revit needs a major overhall! They could make this so much more user friendly.

                There are a few more tools out there... havn´t tried them yet, but you might find something useful:

                Mertens3D Parameter Jerk

                Revit SP.Writer

                And maybe others....? :beer:

                  both won't work.
                  Parameter Jurk is a similar Tool as the one from Autodesk. Just has different features.
                  SP Writer is a SP-file editor. Can also come in handy btw.

                  Come to think of it, I seriously don't know any that can pull parameters from project files.
                  What I would use more often is a push-tool. Something that batch copies sp's into a project.
                  (since I rarely use project parameters. I hate to have a good idea and then later go look in my projects what I did... It's going straight into the SP-file and template).

                    transfer project standard will transfer project parameter(s) but don't know from which item, i just check all items
