Adaptive component warps when I load it into my Project

    Hi everyone,

I am relatively inexperienced using Revit. I am making a model of a site that requires sloping Armco barriers.

From my research I see the best way to do this is by adaptive component's. I made the model and it works fine in the family builder, but when I load it in to my project and attach the model to the nodes on the mass the Armco barrier becomes distorted. The columns rotate 90 degrees and the barrier becomes flat.

I have attached images and the model, if anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong before I pull out the last bit of my hair, that would be appreciated

I can't open it because I have Revit 2016. Have you tried nesting the horizontal barriers? I would make them as a separate generic model loaded into the adaptive family, and associate its length with the distance between adaptive points 1 and 2. After that, it shouldn't get deformed.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, because it works fine

Was this problem resolved? Think I have a similar situation. Adaptive component displays ok when loaded into project but not mass. Either warps when using repeater or get error message. First attempt at adaptive component so apologies if basic errors have been made.
        Thanks
