I have a linked dwg (site plan) that came in at true north. When I try to rotate to project north the crop region rotates with it. I haven't had this problem in other projects. Is there a way to rotate the crop region back to the original position?

I try to avoid rotating project north in Revit at all costs. If it were me, I would rotate the linked DWG file so that it matched project north in Revit, then rotate true north in Revit to match the survey. Project north in Revit is simply the top of your monitor, or in other words, it defines how your building will fit on your sheets assuming that your sheets are in landscape format.
