3D section Box and numeric dimensions

    Hi there all
As a new kid in the block, I would like to ask you …is there any possibility to manage 3D section Box numerically. It would be nice to set up top or bottom using data like height from project zero level.
Kind regards and many thanks for all hints

      Possible, yes.

Set up a PLAN that uses the NUMERIC values you want in the View Range. Then in the 3D view, right click on the View Cube and say ORIENT TO A VIEW and select that plan.

        Hi there
It sounds like alternative solution but ….
On my section, I draw horizontal reference plan (name 3D box)
In 3D window –orient view to ….and I cannot find it (I mean 3Dbox reference plan) could you tell me what I’m doing wrong
        Thanks a lot

            Hi there
Thanks a lot for another answer.
I did that and there is not even a trace of my reference plan called 3D box
However below that I have “orient to plan” and there is my reference plan but …its not cutting 3D view at reference plan level. It is just a plan.
Any idea how to cut 3D at precisely 1200mm
            Kind regards

Set the TOP of your PLAN View Range to 1200mm. Not the cut plane, the Top of the view range. Then use Orient to View.
