Linetypes for Pipework in Revit MEP

    Hi there,

I am trying to use different line types for my pipework in Revit. In medium I want my 2D line to appear dashed but in fine I want my line pattern to be solid.
Anyone know how to do this or can it be done?

    Thanks,
    ShaneOB

You could model the geometry twice over and use sub-categories for the two detail levels, were we talking families, but aside from being a nonsense to needlessly duplicate geometry, we're talking pipes.

But then seeing as you've already noted you'll be having at least two different views (one fine, one medium) then the answer's simple; a view template for each with overrides - ideally by filter.

    No?

Yeah you are right a different view template is probably the best way to go.

        Thanks,
