Editing Linework in Revit Detail Components

Hey guys, I'm trying to edit linework in the OOTB revit detail components and not having much luck.... I change the line style in the family and it changes the thickness of the line in the family but when I load it into the project it shows up thick, no matter what. Do I have to do a save as of each of these and create a custom one for each one I want to use? That doesn't seem right.... Here's an example below, the anchor bolt and isolation joint on the left I did a graphics override, how I want it to look, and the items on the right are what comes in originally.

    Thanks!

What did you end up doing?

The object styles in the project will override the ones in the family if they have the same name. You need to either give them unique names in the family or change them in the project, which will of course modify any other detail components using those same subcategories.
