Door Frame with Transom - Glazing Showing in Plan

I have a door frame family with a transom that I'm nesting into my standard door family. The glazing of the transom is showing up in plan views, even if the view range isn't cutting through the glass. I've loaded the family into a blank project and am getting the same results.

I have a similar family that I made in the past where I set the extrusion for the glass to not show when cut in plan/rcp. However, I now want to see it in my RCP. I have attached an .rvt file with the family loaded in. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    You have a few options:

    1. Pick being seeing it or not seeing it, in Plan AND in RCP, as you've discovered.
    2. Set it to visible in Plan/RCP, but subcategorize it. Turn off that Subcat in plan, and leave it visible in RCP.
    3. Make it a shared nested family, and use Filters to hide it in plan, but not in ceiling plan.

I would go with number 1 or 2.

Not that this will fix your immediate issue, but I've got a Revit Idea posted to spearation the visibilty of Plan and RCP in families

Great, thanks! I have the feeling I knew this at some point, but I guess I hadn't come across it recently.

And, I'm going to go with Option #2.

          I just did upvote it.

That is a feature I have posted in the past to various "Wish (or pray) Lists" for the program. There are so many instances (!) where you want to show some things on the floor and to show different things on the ceilings.
