    Renumber parameter in sorted schedule

Does anyone know of a way to sequentially number an instance parameter in a sorted schedule? see the attached picture, i have filtered by description then size then length, that way my prefab shop has the same tag for the same pieces.

I'm looking for a way to automate the tedious process of entering in all the numbers in the TPI# parameter. The excel exporters I have tried don't maintain the sorting I have set up.

It would be doable using dynamo, and would be worth the effort to create the script if you do it frequently.

Dynamo can definetely do it, but the CTC Spreadsheet Link can sort the exporting schedule any way you want, as well. Then you can actually use Excel (or CTC's Excel like interface) to auto number.

I've tried to do it on Dynamo, i don't doubt it can I just need to spend a lot more time learning the program.

I downloaded a trial of that CTC spreadsheet Link you recommended, as far as i can tell you can only sort one parameter. Am I wrong here? I need to sort 2-3.

thanks for the suggestions by the way!

          Yes and no.

If you choose *CATEGORIES* i think thats true. But you can also choose *SCHEDULES* from the model and export them that way. I *think* it keeps the sorting, but i could be wrong.

Edit: You are correct. Completely doesnt work, for sorting more than one parameter. Boooooo, im emailing the folks i know there right this minute.
