    Curtain Walls with panel

    Hello,

    I want to create a normal door (I mean no curtain wall-door) elevation from 0.00 - 2.10. From there until the roof (that has slope) I want to have a curtain wall with sandwich panel.

    Any idea, how can I do this?

    Hi, For curtain walls you need to use a curtain wall door, this kind of curtain doors adjust automatically from curtain wall grids, so in order to have your 0.00 - 2.10 door, you just need yo model or edit an existing "Curtain" door, for the sandwich panel you need to create a type of wall that contains all sandwich layers and then you need to add it to you curtain wall in the properties pallette, HTH

      Hello,

      thank you for your answer. So, I should use curtain wall door? (do you know where I can find a steel one?) In revit we can't create curtain wall with slope?

        Hi, A steel one I'm not sure , but you can modify the existing one in order to have yours, for the second question, yes you can! there are a few methods, first you can use a sloped curtain system by selecting a normal roof and then hitting on properties and selecting sloped glazing (see images) , (sorry if the tool have a different name my Revit is in french), the second one is modeling a mass with your desired slope and then by hitting in wall by face and selecting a curtain system, HTH

          I am afraid that is a little bit advanced for me....so in order to create a wall with sandwich panel that in the top has a slope I need to make one of the above methods?

            well, the wall sandwich for me will be a wall with several layers which you can include inside a curtain wall by seeking it into the properties of the curtain wall, for the slope element you may use an "in place" component that you will define as a wall in the "category" list, hope this help

              You can also use Basic wall as a Curtain wall panel, just for the panel where you need door. Make a panel in exact size of the needed door, assign Basic wall as panel, and host a normal door.

                Hirvio, I had the same thought, to create a basic wall 210x90 in order to place the door.
                Here is my problem...I want to create a sandwich panel wall above from the door that will connect with the slopped roof.

                The only way that I know in order to create sandwich panel is do download them from the existing libraries:/...and after I put them on a curtain system...but these have specific dimensions so I cannot put them in no rectangle areas...like in my case.

                  can you post a picture of what you are trying to accomplish? And, what is your definition of a "sandwich panel"? What you want to do seems simple to me using curtain walls with embedded wall for regular door embedding, although I'd use a curtain wall door. IIRC there is an OOTB curtain wall door is a solid panel type to mimic a steel hollow metal type door. Or if not, you can make one in a snap. Curtain walls and curtain panels can be shape altered to fit most any sloping roof conditions. But, before I go down the path of explaining how to do this I'd like to fully understand what you final result wants to be.

                  Edit: yes, the solid panel curtain wall doors are called Curtain Wall Dbl Glass or Sgl Glass. You can ignore the glass description in the file name as these doors are made from solids that could be glass, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, whatever your heart desires

                    Hello and thanks for help,

                    Here...I want a grill door ( If you know where I can find plz tell me) , upper from this door I want to have sandwich panels (like the panels that I have on the roof) until the level of the slopped roof.

                    My problems:
                    1) In a curtain wall I can't create this type of door ( as you refer I can put only curtain wall doors)
                    2)I tried to a mass with slop and after alter this in curtain system..but I cannot create the panels in no rectangle areas.
                    3) For a reason, when I put the panels be created in the opposite direction (from outside to inside of the building)
