Sheets disappearing with out anyone noticing

    Hello!

This has been driving me crazy. A few of us are working on the same model, and suddenly we noticed sheets were deleted. None of us had clicked, viewed, or even thought about those sheets in a while. All of a sudden it seems random sheets are no longer there, and we have no idea why. They're not hidden or moved, and when we try to make a new sheet it doesn't give us the error of "this sheet number is in use" so we know they were deleted. Also, all the views, sections, details, and drafting views are still there just the sheet that contained them is missing. Our only workaround is to make the sheet all over again and put in the views, etc. However, how can this happen, and how can it be prevented? Please tell me someone has had this issue before and we're not crazy...

P.S. This has happened before, but it seems like it's getting worse.

    Thanks!

Only time ive seen it happen where it was a person unknowingly deleting them (which is most often the case) it was on an older version of Revit, when team members were on different builds. One would experience a massive slow down in the model, followed by a Fatal Error. When they went back in the file after, a bunch of sheets were missing.

But, that was in the middle of the 2014 release.

You're not going crazy, I have seen this too. It may or may not be your case but are you or your team creating new sheets? I have a dynamo script to create new sheet sets. I thought I was going nuts when randomly a whole bunch of already existing sheets would disappear when creating the new sheets. My solution is to create the new sheets with a title block that is not currently in use and then select them all (right click on titleblock > select all in entire project) and swap to desired size.

Hm, maybe it's a Revit issue? We're using 2016, and as far as I know no other projects had this happen. It's just for this project. I figure one of us is deleting them unknowingly, but we have no idea how if we never were in those sheets you know? Maybe it is a Revit issue... Now that I think of it the program was crashing a lot yesterday and then today sheets are missing.

The sheets we had existed in the file, and we never created new sheets just deleted the ones we didn't need. However, that was weeks ago and we haven't seen this until recently. All the sheets are using the same titleblock with different areas specific to the sheet of course. Could the titleblock be an issue, and we need individual titleblocks for each sheet?
