Tag All Rooms of a Link?

Is there a known way to tag all rooms of a Link? As someone who primarily creates MEP shop drawings in Revit, I have minimal need for Rooms and Spaces in my own model. As of right now, I cannot seem to find a way to Tag All for Rooms, like you can if Rooms existed in your own model. I do have a workaround: I open the Link, create a quick set of Plan Views of each Level, use the Tag All to place all tags, then Copy/Paste into preset Levels in my template. This way I can Copy/Paste as needed in each View or set of Views as I need.

Just thought I'd ask to see if I've been doing it wrong all this time, or if my method is as good as it gets. Thanks in advance!

Tag All not Tagged includes a check box to tag elements in linked files. Just make sure you add a Room Tag to your project so it will offer it to you in the dialog.

Why the goofy bold/italic thing? The ribbon button says Tag All while its tool tip and the resulting dialog both say Tag All Not Tagged.

Excellent, Steve. That's what I was missing.

      It's always the little things....

It would be helpful to have a Load Tag Family button on that dialog too...in fact at first I thought there was one but my memory isn't what I remember it to be.

Hey guys...this isn't working for me. I want to tag all structural columns and I have checked the "include elements from linked files" box, plus I have a structural column tag loaded which I've selected.

I checked on AUGI, someone said you have to make sure your linked model is not set to underlay. So I unchecked that but it still doesn't work.

Any clues here? I'm on Revit 2017.2.2

EDIT: I hit f1 for help and I thought I found the answer:

          http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/20...-Underlay.html

However...it doesn't tag all columns. But it does tag a lot of them.
