    Schedule detail families

    Hi all,
    Is it possible to schedule details components?
    I was in a hurry today when asked and I couldn't really look at it close enough. My first reaction was no but maybe you can?

    Nope, and as far as I know there's no clever workaround either.

      It is possible to schedule an item that was first created as a detail component, and then loaded into a blank model family that belongs to a category that you can schedule in a project, such as Specialty Equipment. You can carry the properties from the detail component family to the schedule in the project, via shared parameters.

        Yup, but that would have no relation whatsoever with the detail components in the project UNLESS you have all parameters in the schedule as a Type Parameter AND you recreate all DC-types inside the family editor and within the scheduable family. Which (depending on amount of details and useage) could be problematic regarding coordination.
