Good luck too. Just remember the intial startup costs can be quite high, with obvious ones being professional licences for sketchup and revit, cant use the student ones anymore.

No, you most certainly CANNOT use the student version. Nor can you use the free version of SketchUp. And if you do, you are just screwing the hard working professionals here who answer your questions for free, while also trying to run a successful business including paying the costs of doing business.
EDIT: Also, pretty sure the student version still has the watermark on print. So you would ALSO be screwing you customer, be they a homeowner or another professional you are doing contract work for. So pretty much stupid to go down that road.

You can absolutely use the student version for business! I think the only requirement is that you send a letter to autodesk, with your name, address, phone number, and business name, letting them know that you plan to use the student version.
