    Navisworks False Positives

Does anyone have any tips on reducing the number of clashes of self intersecting insulation on ventilation within Navisworks.

Ignore self intersecting appears to have very little effect on my results.

Nearly every duct shoe is being reported as a clash due to insulation.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

What I do is create some rules to those ignorable clashes.

Firstly I create search sets like for your case you create search sets for duct insulation and another set for combined set ducts and ducts fittings.

Then from Rule tab u can create a new rule by choosing the category by "selections sets". After that tick the rule you've created then run/refreshed again your test and see if its works.

    Hope this might help you.

I set up as per your instruction, but this totally discounts the insulation from the clash test.

I ran a separate clash with insulation switched off, which gives the same results.
