REVIT LT - best electrical practice for wires?

    Hello. Using to REVIT LT-2017.

To illustrate the wires from light fixture to a switch or to another light fixture, I am just drawing arcs with detail lines.

Is there a better, more parametric way?

    Thanks,
    JK

My method is only slightly better: I use model lines set to the ceiling work plane. At least it allows phasing. I'm working in the architectural world rather than MEP and typically on small projects not shared with consultants, so it is adequate. Can't wait to see the real answer!

Real world? Our projects are custom residential, using the traditional method of drawing a line from switch to fixture. We use a detail line, custom named and drawn with the arc tool. I have never needed model lines for these, nor have seen enough advantage. Even with existing projects, we haven't found the necessity, yet, of documenting existing wire connections - either nothing changes, or everything does with a remodel. KISS approach.

Revit LT does not have parametric capabilities for MEP components, but the full version does. One of several features that led to my upgrading to the full version.
