Edit group externally: what template used?

When editing a Group externally to the project file, Revit places the elements in an empty file. This file seems to be an empty out-of-the-box template file. It is definitely not my template. I would like it to have my project settings. Does anyone know which file it uses? Is there a way to specify which file to use?

It doesnt use one. Only way is to make the file first, and load it as group. Saving it out (without programming something cool) wont ever use a template.
