    Adaptive component react to a line instead a point

    Hi guys,

    Can the component react like below without using dynamo or grasshopper?


    The below one is mine. but it only react in one-direction.

    You will need Dynamo to do that, as far as i know.

      You can certainly do something close, with a 5pt adaptive component.

      The first point is hosted to a Divided Path, with a Reporting Parameter measuring the distance to the second point.

      Where this falls short is that the Component will only react to the distance of that one particular point on that divided path, NOT the closest part of the curved line as your example shows.

      Dynamo would get you there with some of the nodes like XYZ Distance and List Minimum.
      There's probably an exact example of what you're looking for out there.
