    How to create SHS steel column

    Hi anyone,
    Could you please advise how to create 300x300x16SHS column?
    Is it as per normal : using extrusion @ Metric Structural Column family template?
    Shall I add CONCRETE FILL symbol inside this Square Hollow Section?

    To save you some tedious labor, here´s a SHS family with a type catalog for sizes (Metric - ISO 657/14). And yes, it´s just a (parametric) extrusion created from the Structural Column family template.

    About the Concrete Fill... If you really fill the SHS with concrete, I´d recommend to model the concrete inside the SHS profile (Simple extrusion), and maybe add a Yes/No visibility parameter to it.

      Hi Munkholm ,

      Your family file is really useful for me, yet I really would like to try creating it by myself.
      Frankly, willing to practise.
      But no idea is coming out how to put those Radious and Formulae.
      Could you please advise me the detail procedure if you got free time?
