    RPC Plants almost black in renderings

    Hey all,

    I recently upgraded Revit from 2106 to 2017. I'm grieving the loss of MentalRay but understand the need for the change.
    I've been slowly updating my rendering materials as they no longer render as I liked. That's a pain, but not the end of the world.
    Anyways, the reason for my post is my plants are rendering so dark they're almost black. I tried reloading the RPC family and that didn't work.
    Has anyone had this issue or know how I can adjust them to be as they should be?

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thats funny, people used to complain that they were too washed out. That was because Mental ray didn't gamma correct. Now the Autodesk Raytracer does, so where in the past you probably made your MR materials really dark to compensate for the washed out look or took them into PS to adjust the gamma, now you don't have to. But you can use Archvisions Entourage workshop and adjust the gamma of the RPC's to make them brighter.

      Raytrace Photographic Exposure is always going to default to a 14 value I thought? Meaning, things will get dark on interior shots but be IMHO over-exposed on exterior shots. Have you tried overriding any of the values?

        I'm lamenting the loss of MentalRay yet comprehend the requirement for the change. I've been gradually refreshing my rendering materials as they never again render as I preferred. That is a torment, yet not the apocalypse. In any case, the purpose behind my post is my plants are rendering so dim they're practically dark. I took a stab at reloading the RPC family and that didn't work. Has anybody had this issue or ability I can alter them to be as they ought to be? Any help would be incredibly refreshing.

          Doing renders in Revit is very timeconsuming to get it right.

          Just get a Enscape license for 50 dollars a month and render a lot faster and better.
          It is very easy to install and to use.

            I believe the entourage studio addin may help. Contact archvision support they will know the fix if their is one. I think there is a gamma correction or something you can do in entourage workshop or studio that will let you adjust this.
