I am trying to create extrusions that i can rotate in all 3 directions. In following several directions of nesting the extrusion and applying the rotation by means of a reference line that has a rotation parameter. No problem so far. Direction then indicate to set the workplane of this nested family to the reference line. No matter what i try/pick/etc i can not get the reference line selected as the workplane. What am i missing in accomplishing this.
