our structural consultant likes the floor plan s to only show the stud layer of the wall. is there an efficient way of doing this? right now I am exporting to dwg and in AutoCAD I am deleting all the lines that represent either the sheathing or finish layer. which is very time consuming.

You can place each Wall Function (Structure, Substrate, Thermal/Air Layer, Finish 1, Finish 2) on it's own layer from the Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup. Then isolate, delete, and purge the offending layers in AutoCAD.Greg McDowell Jr
