Well the way archicad is designed is totaly different that Revit. At first stage the Archicad windows and doors are easy to setup by a novice. But if you have complex windows or doors (let say like for the church) in Archicad you will fail to use the same easy interface like for the normal doors. So you will make same dumb geometry that is not parametric or you will make same GDL libraries if you are a coder (are you?).
In Revit is the opposite. The first steps for o novice are harder with doors and windows if you don`t learn to play with family editor. Family editor is a graphical interface that is like Revit interface where you can design almost everithing you can imagine (think baroc church doors, or totaly unusual doors... science fiction like). And this doors are doable without the need of programing, and in the end, this complex doors can have parameters like the normaly doors you find in Archicad interface.

So in short, in Revit, if you want to jump already to more complicated windows/doors, first you have to make some tutorials with family editor.

off course if you have a dedline and just one to fill the gaps you can search for something that is already free on the internet like: revitcity.com, or seek.autodesk.com.

But the more you avoid the family editor the more you will lose. Because the real potential&flexibility of this program is in the family editor.

i can not believe i will every time do sashes of windows and measuring it to be in the half and third of window by myself it backing me to autocad 3d the same way. the basics is not inevitable to achieve faster if you are in hurry thanks for mentioning to me this, i will added this to disadvantages of revit in my preparing to compare it in article with archicad as i am expert with archicad by the way doing complex window in archicad is not hard and neither require GDL scripting knowledge or to be codec as you said
neither also complex shapes is hard to do in archicad 15 sorry revit is very well but i am just deciding whether to make a move into a revit or not depending on my comparison i am trying to do there in revit simple project and i will try my luck if i found such disadvantages and not abling to achieve faster then i will rethink and advice other people also
i think if this is not available this is strong problem for me

if anyone can assure me that window is possible to control of it of how many sashes in quick way please tell me and thanks

post your family. I`m not very familiar with english terms. But do you need to have a 3x3 cell aspect like in the window from the right? If you do, post the family.

ok. I`ve made some short movies to make an ideea how to start to make your window. You have to understand that familiy editor is very flexible if you understand how it works. If you just want to be like in archicad than you don`t need to learn Revit because the start in Revit is not like the start in Archicad. See the movies to understand the Family Editor engine.

homework: you have to make the other array of mullions on the horizontal direction

p.s. The movies are somehow with mistakes..it`s late here i don`t have time to recorde many times in order to have a smooth tutorial...

p.s2. Of course this is basic unflexible window. The more advanced windows can have components that are switchable. So components can be used in more than one window(like sills, sashes, interior boards, hardware etc)

By the way, Is that Jing program the one that can have a yellow highlight around the cursor?
