Tag all doors that are in a Revit Link

    Hi!

When I open the revit-file with the doors, I can easily tag all doors with the "Tag all" function. But I want to tag all doors in a Revit file, that has the file with the doors as a Link, and I cant make it work. When I use "Tag by category" it works, but when I use "Tag all", nothing happens. Does someone know what can be the problem?

    Best regards Engineer

In the Tag all window there is a tick box - "Include elements from linked files"

    That will fix your problem

Are you selecting the right tag because that feature usually works really good

Hmm, I think that Iam. But now I tried to do the same thing but with Electrical Equipments from a Link, and it worked! Why dont it works with the doors, maby it is a problem with the tag, or with the doors.

            hi Engineer,

I just tested it and works for me as well with no issues. Not it must be something to do with the tag. I tried it with the model set as Overlay and Attached as well.

            Kind Regards,

            Ben

Ok dumb assumption here but.. are the doors really doors family
Is there level discrepancies that would affect View Range?

I made a test-project and did the same, added the link with doors and then I could tag all doors. The problem has to be with the settings in my modell, now I know nothing is wrong with the doors or the tag.

Maby it is somthing with levels or view range, I dont know.

Ok, I found the problem. I had Electrical as Discipline in the view, when I switched to Coordingation it worked! Then when I have Taged all doors I can change back to Electrical.

Hi guys, i've got same problem, I have a linked model in an architectural project, model is "ATTACHED" and discipline is "CORDINATION", also "include element from linked file" is checked in Tag All window, but still stunningly cannot "Tag All" windows, doors etc, only Rooms..
