New Feature / Problem:
When creating Family Type Catalog file, we have to create a comma separated file with a TXT extension. WHY the txt extension?
Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
I use Excel to create the comma separated file and Excel saves it with a CSV extension. Then to let Revit actually USE the file, I have to take the extra step of renaming it with a txt extension.
Workflow:
Generate the catalog file with a CSV extension. Revit is able to use the file as-is.
Benefits:
Better workflow and fewer steps. Easier to maintain.
