Complex Wall Joins - Linework - Vertical Line Segments

Hi,
I'm trying to clean up some plans, and I am having some graphic issues. When I hide certain line segments using the linework tool, the Veritcal Line segment still shows on plan. What's the best way to hide these for clean drawings?
