[All Verticals] - Dumb Detail Lines

Applies to: - All Verticals, and especially when in the Family Editor.

    New Feature / Problem:
Detail lines with the option to COMPLETELY disable all the constraints that detail lines currently keep making automatically. Also fix the grouped detail line work slowdown.

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
Detail Line slowdown is rampant in any project that puts detail lines into heavy use. Waiting 5 minutes for a tiny Cad block to update is unnerving and infuriating.

    Workflow:
Draw detail lines and then grab them, in your detail line options you will now see a check mark allowing you to disable all associations the lines will attempt to make to other objects. You now have dumb detail lines! FINALLY!

    Benefits:
Massive benefits in performance when using detail lines a lot.

I would like the same (disable snaps automatic joins) in line based families

I would actually still like to retain snaps (end and midpoint snaps at least), just get rid of all the other assumptions revit continually makes after they are drawn. I do typically want to have them join properly when drawing them, after that I want them to just be simple lines that don't weigh down a project like they currently seem to do.

I've detailed extrusions for external cladding panels using line based families. Works great until the ends keep wanting to automatically join across adjacent panels. Snaps good, auto join across a few mm not so good. Will edit my previous post.

Perhaps only allowing drawn detail lines find relationships with themselves and not the 3d model objects would be possible. Not sure, I'm just throwing ideas out because their current implementation of detail lines just baffles and annoys.
