Can be done as a Family, or a Conceptual Mass--depending on what you are using it for.

I want to make a ball that I can put in some millwork to see if I have enough room to hold 30 balls. I think I got it as a family, however they are difficult to move.

Wouldn't it be easier to find that out using paper, pencil, and calculator?, or a formula in the millwork family?

Well, it seems that you had an answer to the question already.

Another alternative is: Massing > In place mass > Component > Load family > "sphere.rfa" > place on work plane

yeah, i sort of figured it out as i went...good to know alternative ways to do it!
