Displaying Grid Lines & Bubbles in 3D

One simple way to do this grid & bubble (outline of bubble- no text/number) is to create a LEVEL without any framing on it - and EXPORT this LEVEL in Plan View as an ACAD DWG file. Then you can INSERT the CAD DRAWING (as a Vector File)- which will allow you to position it directlt on the level you want to show it.

I've been struggling to find my bearings in NavisWorks because the grids from Revit are not 3d so they do not come into NW. I've come up wit...

I did a quick test and the appearance of the text in the plan view is affected by the direction that the grid line was drawn, but in a 3D view the text was "right-side-up" for both. Is that what you are seeing? You can mirror the grids to get the text to be flipped, this will not affect the 3D view, which stays right-side-up

I must search a little, but navisworks's guys found a way and made a family to deal with this. It was a while before A.C.I.N.O.F (AUGI CRASH IT's NOT OUR FAULT) :-))
    see you soon....

    RevitGrid4Navis.rfa

This is my first attempt at attaching a file, hopefully it worked. This is a revit family that has been around a while, not sure who created it, but it shows the grid number/letter in the line itself for easy reference and can be raised to a new offset level so that it's easier to see in a 3D walk-thru. We mainly use this for viewing in Navisworks, works great.

Yeah, it would have been nice to see the bubbles, too.
