I've been instructed to convert a project that I did in Revit earlier this year to AutoCAD format for archival purposes. I've had the opportunity to convert a view here and there to .dwg but have never had the experience of doing a whole project. The project was done in Revit 2011 and I see that there is an export option to .dwg when in a sheet view that allows all of the sheets to be exported to .dwg. Is this the right way to accomplish this task. As there are over 400 sheets to convert I hesitate to just press the button not knowing what I'm getting into. Advise?

Well, yes, that would be the right way. Remember though to check off "xref views on sheet". (btw: this is in the "save as" screen where you specify the name and save location). That will export all views on a sheet separately and then xref them back in the "sheet dwg".

EDIT: not quick enough...Thanks to you both for the help! I'm going to push the button on my way out the office tonight and see what it looks like in the morning.
I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!
