Remember when we told you about the Connected Future Innovation Challenge and how AU will be the site of a live pitch-a-palooza, the likes of which have never been seen before? It’s like American Idol, The Voice, and Shark Tank all blended into 1 just for you. The program’s 4 finalists have been chosen and are now hard at work preparing a pitch with Autodesk mentors. The Live Pitch Session will take place at AU on Tuesday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. on the Education Booth stage. Mark your calendar—you won’t want to miss what’s sure to be a lively and enlightening event.
The winner, who will be chosen by a panel of Autodesk corporate customers, will receive a US$5,000 cash prize and the chance to interview for an elite Autodesk paid internship for the summer of 2016.  We wish each of you the very best luck.
Here are the finalists you’ll see taking the stage in Las Vegas:
Ari Horowitz, a student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, will be pitching the SoftStroke 360—a smarter toothbrush to help improve your brushing habits. Yep, your dentist is going to love this.

Luisa Lacsamana, also a student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University, will be pitching her product, W A V E. It looks like a watch but it’s a lot smarter—in fact, it lets the wearer “enjoy the outdoors without feeling lost.” We can’t wait to see what it does, Luisa.

Katie Simmons of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (um, do we see a pattern forming here?) will be pitching Kai, her communication and navigation device for kayakers. We’ve got our life jackets on already, Katie. Show us the way.

Last but not least, Jarett Volkoff, who is currently studying at (you guessed it) Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, will be pitching Tap: The Smart Soil Sensor. We think it sounds divine. (Get it?)

Congratulations to all 4 finalists. We can’t wait to see what you’ve dreamed up.
