Clash datections using Revit and/or navisworks

    Hi all,

Just want to understand...What is the advantage of using Navisworks for clash detection instead of using Revit itself?

From What I know Revit has already the option to do clash interference check in the Collaborative Tab.

    Thanks

I feel it is better do clash in Revit. while doing for clash for particular area by selection duct/pipe insulation will not be selected by default.
for more precise clash detection like minimum clearances you can go for navis.

You can set tolerance i.e. minimum gap required between two services. for running clash it takes only short time. but still for resolving u have to come back to Revit.

Conclusion: it is advisable initial clashes run in Revit. for further go for Navis Works.
