Measurement limits? 1.5 mm is not enough to be a structure?

    Hi!

I am writing from Finland. We have here metric system.

I want to create a structure where is only 1 millimeter wide steel cover. For example 1 mm steel cover - 150 mm isolating layer and core - 1 mm steel cover. Now the revit only allows me to insert 1.6 mm not 1.0 mm. Why is that? By the way 1.5 mm is also not enough?

    Thank you!

I have no problem creating a model line rectangle 1mm x 1mm (0.03937" x 0.03937"). What is your scale set to? Try 1:1

also check the units parameters in the project, if there's not a round around!

        Hi
You are correct, you are restricted to 1.6mm for a wall layer thickness. Not good I know. I also do very small detail stuff and wanted to do 2:1, 5:1 but you can't ,1:1 is best you can do.

Welcome to the forums Finland

I believe that you´re refering to the thickness of each layer in a wall type (or roof, floor, etc.) ?
And can´t explain *why* there´s a limit of 1.6 mm´s, but maybe you should consider if you really need a layer at 1 mm thickness ? Maybe you could just use a "Membrane Layer" instead ? I doubt that a 1 mm layer would print any different anyways... Just my 2 cents

Edit: Mark B is typing faster than I am.... !
