REvit 2016 and Windows 10 graphics issue

We have a Revit 2016 system that was recently reloaded with windows 10. when dimensioning and panning it will freeze with the blue circle for several seconds to a minute. My initial thought was the video card drivers. I have updated the video card driver and turned off graphics acceleration and smooth lines in Revit. the video card is an NVIDIA Quadro 600. Any thoughts on where to go from here?

I experienced that with Revit 2016 in Windows 7. Some folks on twitter are claiming it has to do with available HD space, i was experimenting to see if it had to do with my machine being away from the Domain its tied to for an extended period of time.

How much HD space is free on the machine? (In GB and percentage?)

      A few questions:
Were you using Revit 2016 successfully prior to the Win10 upgrade?

Are you using a central file or a revit server (or some other network config)? If so, maybe set your Worksharing Update Frequency in Options to be a little less frequent.

How is the memory activity looking while you are in Revit?

We just installed new solid State Drives before the reload so we have 420 GB (88%) free.

We were running Revit 2016 but not on this system. As we are upgrading the systems with new Solid State Drives and reloading them we are re-distributing them to get the more powerful systems to the power users. We are using a Central file. It's not the machine I'm working on so I'll have to have the user monitor the memory and let me know.

So it looks like we are using around 4 GB of memory with 11 free. The user just told me that when Revit hangs it is making his entire system un-responsive as well.

Any chance you could try a different graphics card? The Quadro 600 is a pretty low powered card, though that shouldn't be causing things to hang. I know that card is listed as a "Recommended/Certified" card by Autodesk, but so is the Quadro 400 which barely has enough power to display a Word document.

Yea I was a little surprised at what card was in this since it's one of our newer systems. That's on my list of things to try. I haven't had a chance to research what cards are in our other systems in order to identify a viable donor.

I got to looking through the office and found another machine like the one I'm having problems with. Only difference is it's running Windows 7 and has not been upgraded to SSD. It doesn't seem to be having issues with Revit. So now I'm looking at whether this is a Windows 10 or an SSD issue. Any thoughts on this?
